Nonlinear synchronization dynamics in breathing fiber lasers: Exploring new Arnold tongue patterns

Abstract

Breathing lasers defy traditional synchronization rules, showing complex, nonlinear patterns and maintaining synchronization despite large intensity differences. This experimental breakthrough reveals new dynamics and Arnold tongue shapes and widens the scope of synchronization in nonlinear systems.
