Understanding the factors associated with willingness to participate in a COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial

Abstract

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has affected some groups more than others in the UK, and the most favourable control scenario besides face coverings, hygiene and social distancing, which could provide long-term protection, is vaccination. Development of vaccines require representation from all population groups in clinical trials, yet there have been severe under-representation among some groups, mostly ethnic minorities.
