Synchronisation and chaotic dynamics in breathing-soliton laser

Abstract

We review our recent advances in the study of breathing solitons in ultrafast lasers, uncovering fascinating fractal dynamics in nonlinear systems, the intricate structure of synchronisation regions, a new state between synchronous and desynchronised phases in resonant systems, and a new pathway to chaos.
