Insolvency practitioner fees in the UK - all alone in the world?

Abstract

In response to the Kempson Review on Insolvency Practitioner fees, the Government set out proposals to reform the manner in which these fees were to be calculated, some of which proved contentious amongst professionals. The article considers the possible impact of the proposed changes on the global reputation of the UK insolvency system, with comparison to fee calculation methodologies adopted in a number of leading jurisdictions.
