Bake-hardening of dual-phase steels

Abstract

The influence of bake-hardening on the flow strengths and dent-resistance of two lean-alloy dual-phase steels which had been lightly prestrained in uniaxial tension, plane strain and balanced biaxial tension were investigated. 0.5% proof stress and UTS values were measured at o° and 90° to the direction of maximum extension in prestraining after ageing at five different temperatures in the range 20--220-C for 30 minutes...
